Boundary and Site Survey
The client wanted to do a major remodel of the house on the property that they had just purchased. The architect they were using needed a complete site survey showing existing conditions and property lines, so as not to violate building setbacks. Surveying all the existing conditions was fairly routine but establishing the property boundaries turned out to be quite challenging, because the deed referred to maps and other deeds dating back to the 1800’s. After several weeks of digging through old records, we were able to resolve the boundary and complete the survey.
